Project and Engineering Support Team

The Projects and Engineering Support Team, provides two functions. Projects are defined as modifications/remodeling performed using Facilities personnel, also referred to as Major Projects. The Major Projects Manager oversees the entire process, meeting with the customer to determine project scope, prepare written estimate, schedule start and finish dates, regular communication, visit the project daily, make final inspection and follow up with customer to insure satisfaction.

The Engineering support staff provides technical resources to Facilities Operation personnel. The team is comprised of two building commissioning personnel, mechanical, electrical and civil engineers and a Sr. business assistant.

The building commissioning personnel oversee outside contractor projects acting as a commissioning agent to insure that projects meet design specifications.

The mechanical engineer provides technical support and oversees the retro-commissioning process. Retro-commissioning consists of first identifying an existing building that would benefit from a holistic look at the mechanical system. Then performing work to insure that it’s operating per original design and current need. It also includes investigation into energy saving possibilities.

The civil engineer provides technical support and oversees water quality regulation and compliance. The electrical engineer provides technical support and oversees the high voltage distribution system.

The Sr. business assistant manages the preventative maintenance data base insuring that it is up to date and that work is being completed. She also manages all utility meter reading and billing.
